Walking around. Inhabiting Pablo Neruda and Menis Koumandareas

Enjoy the live read Stephanie did on Instagram as she becomes anew in southern Crete during Persephone’s season of Spring.

She read excerpts of their work, and then an excerpt from Event Horizon, the story “Event Horizon”, based on an unpublished novel, To Love Like Venus. “I read to the rocks and seagulls. I read to the Libyan Sea. Enjoy this echo.”

Event Horizon got its Human Authored stamp from the Authors Guild, because all stories are written by a human.

And all art was commissioned or are reprints by human artists.

Welcome the new organic sticker for books (no longer just for eggs).

At long last, Event Horizon in print is here! All three covers look gorgeous in their own three moods: female heart, comic sci-fi, dripping “GoodStrange” graffiti canvas work.

Here’s a look at the unboxing.

Here’s a celebration of each cover in video form. It celebrates themes (black holes, human desire), subverting the idea that only comic books can have variant covers. It’s a fangirl homemade MTV video to Muse’s Supermassive Blackhole and the old peep shows of Times Square. Enjoy the book chair dance. This is comic book realism.

Just arrived Event Horizon‘s F&Gs. If you are new to what these are, these are the “Folded & Gathered”, the books in their printed but unbound form. This is a picture of their folded signatures and covers (not affixed to their hardcovers yet). They just need their binding (corset as I think of it) to get their book shape. This is wonderful progress in our book making journey. The book official publishes Dec 15, 2024.
